Five Four Children Friendly School
In Wuhu City (Anhui Province), there is a very famous Child Friendly School named ‘Five Four Children Friendly School’. There are 11 train schools and 15 training centres. All tutors in this school are university students, and they are all volunteers in teaching.
The founder of this school is Qingshan Wu, who was in Anhui Normal University in 2003. In December 2004, Wu opened the first spontaneous children friendly charitable organization, called ‘Five Four children friendly school’. At that time, he used his spare time to give extra lessons to those students whose families were very poor during the weekend. As that kind of private tutor, he never asked for any money from those children, everything he did was selfless dedication.
In October 2005, ‘Five Four Children Friendly School’ was registered in Wuxi Young Volunteers Association, and after that the school started its standardized and developing route. At this time, this great career started to attract more and more university students to come to help. Through 8 years since then, 2500 children have been helped, and the school will help more and more children. (Wuhui Civilization Office, 2012)

Red Cloud Library
In 2007, a charitable activity called ‘Red Cloud Books deliver love, donate one hundred kinds of books to one hundred schools in China’ has started. It was supposed to be one hundred schools be given one hundred kinds of book, but there were too many schools to apply for donating book, and finally, there were 220 school were donated.
In 2008, the second session of ‘Red Cloud Books deliver love, Red Cloud Library’ large-scale activity has started. There were more than 500 schools wrote to apply for donating books to those schools in under-developed province and counties. The ‘Red Cloud Library’ has been built up in 120 primary and secondary schools in some under developed counties.
In 2009, the third session of ‘Red Cloud Library’ large-scale activity has started. The ‘Red Cloud Library’ has been built up in 160 primary and secondary schools in some under developed counties. There were more than 300 good books were donated to each school. Another activity was held in the same year, called ‘Red Cloud Reading Scholarship’. There were 70 students won the scholarship, which was 500 Chinese Yuan each.
In 2010, the ‘Golden Red Cloud Library’ was picked up in order to protect and administrate ‘Red Cloud Library’ activity. There were 300 more good books were given to these Golden Libraries, and there was a new scholarship called ‘Red Cloud Writing Scholarship’. The good writer would be give 500 Chinese Yuan for encouragement. (China Youth On Line, 2012)

Love and Help Association
The association started on 1st Jan 2008 in Guangdong Province. The members are mainly layers, self-employees, Civil servants etc from Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan and Chongqing City. They seek a common goal, which is ‘To help the children who are from poor family to study and grow up happily’. There have been 198 children from 11 partner schools were helped so far.

Free training
From 13th -19th Aug 2012, the second free training activity was held by China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation and Yongjing County Department of Education in Gansu Province. There were 100 PE teachers who are from 11 counties in Ningxia, Qinghai and Gansu Province attended this training. This is the first time for those teachers to get such kind of training, and all of them made very positive comment.

Love is in Daliang Mountain
Daliang Mountain locates in the south-west of Sichuan Province. It is a poverty area in China, because of its natural disasters, weak ecological environment and under-developed agricultural infrastructure facilities. An charitable activity called ‘Love is in Daliang Mountain’ was held by China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation recently, and it got supported by the whole society. The activity is to donate the one to one love to children in Daliang Mountain when the new term is coming. The activity called the whole society for help to those children who are still in poverty situation.

Love Parcel
‘Love Parcel’ is a whole people charitable activity, which was held by China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation. It called for people to donate money to those children whose families are in poverty or just survived from the natural disasters. They hope they will use their effort to make those children go back to school and grow up happily.

Overseas Chinese Children Friendly School
There have already been more than 1,600 Children Friendly Schools were set up by the China Overseas Chinese Association with the members from overseas, Hongkong and Taiwan. There are trainings for teachers and head teachers regularly. (International on line, 2012)

Shanghai Normal University Children Friendly School
In 1994, 14 students from Shanghai Normal University found that many labor models had very little time to help their children in learning after school from doing a relevant research, so they set up a spontaneous learning group for those children in spare time after school and in off-term time. Then, this learning group named formally ‘Shanghai Normal University Children Friendly School’.
Since 1994, there have been 1,900 schools in 18 provinces in China. All tutor in this school are volunteer students in the university, and they believe that ‘donate love to children, give love to vulnerable group and call for enthusiasm from the society’. The school is also set up abroad, like America, South Korea, Japan and Australia etc. (Eastday, 2012)

Shenhua Children Friendly School
In order to support the development of education in old revolutionary base areas in Jiangxi, Shenhua Public Foundation donate 30,000,000 Chinese Yuan to Ruijin, Jinggangshang, Anxian, Xinganxian and Yuganxian for building up Children Friendly School in 2011. (Shenhua Public Foundation, 2012)
