Resource Development

NCfLB works collaboratively with a range of practitioners in developing bespoke resources for training and professional development relating to learning behaviour improvement  and/or violent behaviour reduction.  All our training embodies the principles and practices of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the UNICEF Child Friendly Schools Programme.

We produce training resources which include ‘Training for Trainers’ as well as activity based development for all those working with children and young people. Our resources work equally well in Childcare settings as well as in schools and all contain a parent/carer education element. Similarly all training programmes are designed to be culturally neutral and NCfLB Associates have extensive experience of adapting them to meet the specific needs of countries around the world. Countires we have developed resources include UK, Russia, Romania, Macedonia, Moldova, Turkey, Georgia, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand and now China.

Recent NCfLB outputs include:

  • Council of Europe Violence Reduction in Schools in partnership with Behaviour2Learn
  • Induction programmes for Initial Teacher Education, including the popular Learning Behaviour Scenarios
  • European Handbook on Violence Reduction in Schools (ViRIS) and the accompanying training pack
